I travel for my job and only eat at small shops and this place was great with great customer service.

So much food. Driving from Naples to Orlando and read the reviews so we stopped. Not disappointed. Huge portions of yummy ribs and great sides. Check it out and you will be happy.

Best kind of Barbecue. This is a hole in the wall. The ribs were awesome. The spicy BBQ sauce was also extremely tasty.

I would not have stopped at a bbq joint that offers pizza were it not for yelp. But I did and was pleasantly surprised. Somewhere between orlando and miami stands fort mead, or wachula, or whatever tiny southern town this is, with gems like this that give you one more reason to stay off the interstate. So the food. I had the sausage platter special with collards and mac and cheese. After typing that I realize that my order might make you think im a five year old. Im not. When my food arrived I was worried by the large dry looking sausage on a plain hot dog bun. But the flavor and expertise with which it was cooked negated the very idea of bbq sauce. It was perfect. The collard greens had a bit of a sweet flavor that I found initially off putting but came to very much enjoy. The mac and cheese was deli mac and cheese. Spotless good it always is. My wife had the 10 piece bbq wings special. They were also very good and had a strong Smokey flavor that I sincerely believe came from one of the two large smokers that were billowing smoke as we ate, and not some liquid smoke crap. She also had the green beans. I will probably, in my life never have a whole paragraph (or semblance of one) on green beans but these things were perfect. So good I cornered an employee smoking a cigarette out back and asked him what was in them. "Pork and onions". It couldn't have been that simple, but all bbq joints must have their secrets. The kid had a hot dog. It kinda sucked to be honest. The whole bill was $18. Ill definitely keep this joint on my roadtrip list.

Wow, this place ROCKS. Ribs are tasty, all the sides speak of good old southern cooking. A must stop if you heading south from Orlando to Marco Island via the 17 or vise versa.

The food is fantastic!! So glad we stopped here with the family. We split the pulled pork platter for the kids and it was plenty of food for two. Fed all 7 of us for less than Wendy's for much better food.

This place serves the best Ribs I have ever had. Superb! The sides were equally as good. The baked beans simply melt in your mouth with flavor. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but you won't regret it. The only downside was the A/C. It was a bit warm in the dining room.

The ribs are amazing. Very moist and tender. I like that they have 4 different sauces.

My dad made me stop here. As this is his find. We just picked up some ribs to-go,and per my dad, "they are the best ribs in Florida ". Can't wait to try! Pigs dream of dying and being eaten at Smokin Joes BBQ.

Two reasons why Smokin' Joes' BBQ doesn't get 5 stars... 1/ styrofoam and 2/ why is it that the best bbq has to be in the most unappealing surroundings? Don't get me wrong... very very good BBQ. The pulled pork sandwich platter was excellent. Mac & Cheese... YUMM! But... would it really hurt to do a little cleaning? We will probably go back... that's how good the food was :)

Awesome food. Portions were tremendous. Would recommend sharing. Ribs were soooooo good as was the pork sandwich. Under $20 for 2 people with food leftover!

Wow! Great BBQ! We got the pulled pork platter w/2sides. Ton of food and for only $7. Enough to split between 2. They have 4 sauces. Must try the tangy gold! Is it wrong that I want to drink the sauce?! All 4 sauces are great tho. Must stop and eat. Great hole in the wall jackpot!

Joe's Smokin BBQ is a highly noticeable roadside eatery in one of Florida's agriculture belts along historic highway 17 in Bowling Green. The smoked pork and sausage were astounding! Several varieties of sauces (mustard based, hot peper, sweet red) are available, which are all worth a try. Plentiful portions of side items accompany the dinner and lunch plates, although the meat menu items can be purchased by weight too. In addition to traditional smoked meats, Joe also has smoked mullet on the menu, as well as a fair selection of mediocre ice cream. The place was clean where it matters, but don't pay attention to the webs on the ceiling light fixtures. The restroom is unisex, which is either old school or progressive...probably old school in this case. We were fortunate enough to have several beers left over in our cooler from a weekend at Ft. Meyers Beach, which we consumed with our Q in their outside eating area. It's very laid back and a great place to stop for a BBQ break. Note... There is a small Mexican produce market next to Joe's. They have some pretty awesome tamales, not to mention some descent farm fresh produce (limited selection.)

WOW! Smokin' Joe's has fantastic food with HUGE portions at ridiculously low prices! I had the pulled pork sandwich that came with two sides for $5.99! I couldn't finish it, even without eating the bread! Hubby had to finish my plate. He had the 1/2 smoked chicken and loved it!

Skip every other BBQ place between Naples and Orlando. This place is the BEST! The owners are so wonderful and kind. The prices are really reasonable for portions half the size. The pulled pork and half-chicken platters are so good and could feed a family of five between the two. Try this place! It's a Dive and true Americana! It is real southern BBQ and I guarantee you'll be back! I wouldn't be surprised to see the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives crew pull up at any moment.

We love coming here for the best barbecue around! The ribs are so tender the meat falls off the bones. If you aren't full when you leave it would be hard to believe because the portions are large. The owners are very friendly and great people.Stop by and see for yourself , you will be coming back.
